‘Life Cycles’

Acrylic on Timber Panel

56cm x 61cm

Life cycles, through life, death and life once more, repeating over and over as we move through different stages of life. Letting go willingly or being pushed into new states of being.
This artwork is a window into the many phases of life and how each serves a purpose. A tree stands tall, protecting a sacred pond and its pearl stones. Many years pass and it’s her time to shape shift, to lay down in the forest and provide a new form of life.
How can we accept death and rebirth in our own lives with the same grace?
This life/death/life cycle is deeply explored by Clarissa Pinkola Estes in ‘Women Who Run With The Wolves’.
